I'm flying out to visit the parents for a week starting Thursday night. The week leading up to that trip is always stressful. There are so many things to get ready at work. So much holiday shopping, packing. It's stressful. I've not had a chance to get into the holiday spirit. Then of course there's the anxiety of dealing with all those emotional things safely tucked away until the holidays. Fa la la la la la, la la la la.
But anyway, I'm just stressed. I only really have one more full night to get everything ready. I think I'll have all the mp3s I need downloaded to my mp3 player. Batteries are charged. I need to burn CDs for my mom, and my mom wants me to burn one for my grand mother. I NEED TO PACK. I need to dig up all my gameboy games. I need to instruct TiVo on what to do while I'm gone, and, ack! I still have holiday shopping to do. Oh, and I need to pick up an airplane charger for the laptop, just in case I luck out and the plane has those. It may sound trivial, but I don't like flying during the holidays. The planes and airports are far too overcrowded. I need to be able to zone out. There is too much to be done, and too little time.

Anyway, I know I've not had much chance to be too chattly lately, but that will change once I arrive and settle. Yes, my parents have leaped into the 21st century with DSL and wireless, so I'll have plenty of time to catch up on LJ, start reading some of the recent additions I haven't gotten around to yet (there's just not been tmie to add), and chatting everyone up (everyone better be online!) And, although I've not had chance to comment too much, I have actually been managing to keep up with everyone (which may actually account for my packing not being done yet).
Anyway, tomorrow is catch up day #2. Somehow this will all come together in time.
