hah... i was thinking about getting a PS3 presale and try to sell it on ebay a la xbox360 when it first came out.

i'm concerned that sony will learn from microsoft's mistake though.

mistake? I think the same exact thing will happen. I think it's largely intentional to help build hype and gain free PR.

People want things more when they're scarce or they might not be able to get it tomorrow.
