I know many will and have said that someone's being relieved (or even happy) at someone's death is in poor taste. I respect that view (my parents have certainly taught me better). Nonetheless, count me among those happy Jerry Falwell is room temperature.

I'll feel reverence at his death as soon as I'm done revering the deaths of the people Falwell's rhetoric helped murder: Matthew Shepard, Jacob Orosco, Eddie Garzon, and the many others who have been beaten and killed, as well as the many more who will no doubt continue to be hurt by his hate mongering.

Jerry, may the afterlife be a place where you feel and see all the pain you caused others every single day.

Now, if you'll excuse me, I have some dancing to do.

I'm going to have to agree. I feel for his family and whatever, but people die every day...and it's always sad. My Dad died last year and he never caused problems for entire classes of people who were just trying to live a happy life. Falwell probably would have been happy to see him go, so I'm happy to see Falwell go.

It's out of character for me to say something like that...but that one is for my Dad...crazy old man...=)

Wouldn't it be great if they protested his funeral and blasted Girl from the Gutter by Kina the whole time? Tacky, maybe. Funny as hell, definately.

i hope you don't think i was being bitchy and calling you out about it. I so wasn't. I was all excited that pink had recorded a version of it. I was looking for it online and of course, i couldn't find it. Probably because it doesn't exist.
