Lazy much?
May. 22nd, 2007 08:02 pmI've been sitting here in somewhat darkness in my room for probably a good 10 minutes.
I have an event setup on the homeseer server: if it's after dusk and motion is detected for the first time in my room, the lights will come on at 60% brightness.
There is a brief, awkward period of time on some days where it's slightly too dark inside, but not quite considered "dusk" by the software, so it won't trip until all conditions are met. That's where I was. Occasionally waving my hand or wiggling my foot to make sure it knew I was here.
Of course, I could've gotten up and turned on the lights manually. Actually, I could've just typed "lights" into my web browser, pulled up the web interface and flipped them on manually that way.
But I didn't. I just sat here.
I think I might've actually been trying to prove a point to my non-sentient light server. I'm not entirely sure. It's been a long day, and I'm feeling that effing lazy. Sometimes I puzzle even myself.
