Tigerheat declawed?
Apr. 7th, 2004 05:21 pmI haven't been to Tigerheat in a mondo long time; but, according to a knowledgeable friend, TH was raided by the ABC, resulting in 7 arrests for underage drinking. ABC evidentally pressured the Hollywood Athletic Center to kick TH out of the venue.
TH was thought to be going to Rage, but my friend says it appears they're going to be at Arena instead (ghetto!)
Anyway, I'm not sure what the morbid interest is. I guess coz it was a haunt of mine for a while when it was back at Club 7969, and Ray and I used to chat a bit more regularly.
Kinda sucky to see the ABC getting as Naziesque as they are in SD. Shit, there weren't even 18+ clubs when down in San Diego; and I doubt there is today. The ABC is so gestapo there, any attempts to have an 18+ club result in your being harrassed on an almost daily basis. The bars around campus were all systematically shut down no matter how compliant they tried to be. When the ABC Nazis have it out for you, you're screwed. Actually, I guess I should say when any government agency wants you, you're screwed. I guess it's better for it to be the ABC than the Office of Homeland Security.
And speaking of nazis, while the ABC is making us safe from the dangers of alcohol, and the country goes deeper and deeper into debt, George W's Justice Department is spending millions of dollars to create a porn free Amerika!
