Flashback : Arlington

I find myself flashing back to memories of high school. Specifically visiting Dallas when my dad thought we might move there. Actually, I believe it was a suburb that most caught my attention -- Arlington. I remember it being Sunny, modern, normal. With normal high schools, normal houses, normal neighborhoods. There was almost no hesistation in my desire to move there (despite the fact I was going into my senior year in high school). I was willing to give up my popularity at school for the chance of excitement in a normal place.

We looked at a two-story house I fell in love with. I even saw the room I wanted.

I can picture it all vividly. I wonder how differently my life might have turned out there. I wonder what would be different. Where I'd be now.
